I’m writing to you to request your support for a project a group of Boise citizens started geared towards increasing bike commuters in Boise. This project began as part of the Boise Bicycle Project’s Pedal for the People event. The program works by setting up a mentor with a new bike commuter, and offering educational opportunities.

50 New Bike Commuters for Boise has the goal of getting 50 new commuters up and biking to and from work regularly! We are trying to help people who want to bike commute, could use some mentorship, and need some good advice.
We’ll do this through:
* provide a mentor for every new bike commuter
* organize workshops on choosing a bike, gear, etc.
* arrange meet and greets with other new bike commuters
* offer educational panels about the issues in transportation today
* create networking opportunities that will connect you to the resources to need to help our neighborhoods become better biking communities!We have been providing individuals with this link to get started:
