Hi Leaders,

Next week we have an exciting opportunity that many of you will be interested in.  As you know, we have been looking into adding Nextdoor.com to the tools we use to communicate more effectively.  With Boise’s reputation for safe, engaged neighborhoods, the folks at Nextdoor.com have been very excited to work with all of us.

Thursday, January 16th Nextdoor.com is sending one of their specialized trainers here to Boise. You’ll have two opportunities to learn from the expert about what the program is, if it may be a helpful solution in your neighborhood and, if so, how to work with it effectively.

I appreciate the feedback I received, both successes and questions, from those of you who have already signed onto Nextdoor.com.  Your feedback has been communicated to Nextdoor.com and will be addressed during this training.

At this time, to make sure we get started with this program most effectively, this training is focused specifically on your needs; Neighborhood Watch chairmen and Neighborhood Association board members are invited to this initial training.  Additional outreach and education for everyone will be provided following the official “launch”, and again, your input will be valuable in shaping that outreach.  But on the 16th, it’s meant for you.

Please make time to join us for one of the two scheduled training sessions on the 16th.  I’m certain it will be well worth your time. We’ve scheduled two trainings to accommodate different work and family needs.

Thursday, January 16th
Boise Police Department, 333 N. Mark Stall Place, Boise, CHW Sawtooth Auditorium (Lobby)
  • 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm  (afternoon)
  • 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm (evening)

Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 14th and feel free to contact me with any questions.

See you on the 16th!

Carrie
