At all six of Boise&#8217;s outdoor pools, the minimum age that kids can go to city pools without an adult has been raised to 9 from 7 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Why did the rule change? It&#8217;s a public safety issue, said Boise Parks and Rec recreation coordinator George Scott. &#8220;We have a finite amount of guards we can put on at a time,&#8221; he said. &#8220;In order to keep all of our patrons safe, we need to have more parents at the pool watching their young kids.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When do the pools open?
