If you would like to continue receiving news, please respond this newsletter MtnViewDrTraffic@gmail.com so we know you want to remain on our list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> 3rd Annual Mountain View Dr Garage Sale<\/strong> \u2013 May 10th 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (always the Saturday before Mother\u2019s Day and ahead of most other spring sales). Advertising and directional signs are taken care of for you. All you need to do for the next 9 weeks is collect, sort, and price items that need new homes. Slow Down We Live Here \u2013 We have 40 yard signs that are placed along Mountain View Dr to encourage neighbors and those passing through to slow down as more pedestrians appear in the warmer weather. Our list of neighbors willing to host a sign is outdated so we are asking everyone to respond to this newsletter MtnViewDrTraffic@gmail.com if you are willing to have a sign in your yard for 3 weeks. Also we are looking for some help installing and collecting these yard signs along Mountain View Dr. Let us know if you are willing to help install signs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>West Bench Annual Spring Egg Hunt<\/strong> \u2013 Saturday, April 12th 11am at Winstead Park. Join West Bench Neighborhood Association for a free family-friendly egg hunt. Children ages 12 and under will search in aged-based groups for eggs that contain candy and other prizes! Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny and stop for a photo opportunity. More info http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> NEW Global Lounge Farmers Market<\/strong> every Thursday 4pm \u2013 8 pm at the Asian Plaza parking lot on Ustick and Cole from the beginning of June through September. There will be vegetable farmers from Global Gardens selling fresh vegetables along with many more vendors with an international flare. The market is looking for volunteers to help setup and take down each Thursday. If you\u2019re interested in helping, contact Jordan Unger at Global Gardens (junger@idahorefugees.org).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> <strong>Open Streets Boise<\/strong> \u2013 Sunday Sept 28 &#8211; an exciting day where Ustick from Cole to Mountain View will be temporarily closed to cars and open for people to walk, bike, play, and connect with our community. Join us for family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and a celebration of sustainable, active transportation. Stay tuned for more details!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Linear Park on Goddard<\/strong> \u2013 A shaded pavilion, pathway lighting, and landscaping have been installed at the three-acre linear park off W. Goddard Rd., across from Capital HS. The finishing touches will be completed this spring. The West Bench Neighborhood Assn. has worked for years to make this happen. Thanks to all who participated in this effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friends of Spaulding Ranch<\/strong> &#8211; Monday April 7 th 4:00 to 5:30 pm at Library! at Cole &amp; Ustick. Learn about \u201cFridays on the Farm\u201d workshop series, the Pumpkin Patch, and other ways you can participate this year at Spaulding Ranch. Ariel Agenbroad (University of Idaho Extension), Ben Brock (Global Gardens), and others will discuss this year\u2019s happenings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Proposed Boise Men\u2019s Transitional Home<\/strong> &#8211; A developer is proposing a\u00a0100-bed dormitory-style housing complex for single men\u00a0at\u00a0Mountain View Church of the Brethren on Cole Road(adjacent to the Asian Plaza). The City of Boise recently completed its review and thedeveloper can now apply for\u00a0rezoning, a conditional use permit, and a variance\u2014eachrequiring public hearings before approval. Once these applications are submitted, the Citywill\u00a0begin accepting public comments\u00a0on the project. Behind the shop, you&#8217;ll find a large community classroom, art library, and a full pottery studio, with classes daily, all taught by local artists, writers, musicians and more. The goal is to help<br>create paid opportunities for local artists while providing the community with quality access to arts education, no matter your age or previous experience. Catalyst is currently raising funds to install two kilns in their pottery studio and is asking for donations, which can be made via Venmo to @catalystartscollaborative, or stop in to make a donation. West Bench Neighborhood Association \u2013 please consider joining the association, which is sanctioned by the City of Boise. We have a voice with the city regarding city investments and<br>development here in the West Bench and we receive grants to sponsor events and studies. We meet on the second Thursday of the month.
