\nNext week we have an exciting opportunity that many of you will be interested in.\u00a0 As you know, we have been looking into adding Nextdoor.com to the tools we use to communicate more effectively.\u00a0 With Boise\u2019s reputation for safe, engaged neighborhoods, the folks at Nextdoor.com have been very excited to work with all of us.<\/p>\n

Thursday, January 16th<\/sup>\u00a0Nextdoor.com is sending one of their specialized trainers here to Boise. You\u2019ll have two opportunities to learn from the expert about what the program is, if it may be a helpful solution in your neighborhood and, if so, how to work with it effectively.<\/p>\n

I appreciate the feedback I received, both successes and questions, from those of you who have already signed onto Nextdoor.com.\u00a0 Your feedback has been communicated to Nextdoor.com and will be addressed during this training.<\/p>\n

At this time, to make sure we get started with this program most effectively, this training is focused specifically on your needs; Neighborhood Watch chairmen and Neighborhood Association board members are invited to this initial training.\u00a0 Additional outreach and education for everyone will be provided following the official \u201claunch\u201d, and again, your input will be valuable in shaping that outreach.\u00a0 But on the 16th<\/sup>, it\u2019s meant for you.<\/p>\n

Please make time to join us for one of the two scheduled training sessions on the 16th<\/sup>.\u00a0 I\u2019m certain it will be well worth your time. We\u2019ve scheduled two trainings to accommodate different work and family needs.\n<\/div>\n
