{"id":1110,"date":"2011-02-21T22:17:23","date_gmt":"2011-02-21T22:17:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/?p=1110"},"modified":"2011-02-21T22:17:23","modified_gmt":"2011-02-21T22:17:23","slug":"annual-meeting-minutes-for-feb-16th-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/?p=1110","title":{"rendered":"Annual meeting Minutes for Feb 16th 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>West Bench Neighborhood Association<\/p>\n<p>Annual Meeting Minutes<\/p>\n<p>February 16, 2011<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm by Graham Paterson at the Library at Cole and Ustick.\u00a0 Graham welcomed the large crowd and spoke about the purpose of the WBNA which is to work with the City of Boise on problems and issues in our area.\u00a0 Graham described the boundaries of the WBNA.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/wbnapeeps.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"wbnapeeps\" src=\"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/wbnapeeps-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><!--more-->The minutes of the 2010 Annual Meeting were read into the record and they were unanimously accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth Carter provided the Treasurer\u2019s report.\u00a0 We have $73.18 in the account.\u00a0 The major expense during the year was payment to Ronnie Marler for development and maintenance of the WBNA website, WBNABoise.org.\u00a0 The Treasurer\u2019s report was unanimously accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The election of officers and board members was held.\u00a0 Officers for 2011 are as follows:\u00a0 Betty Brigante \u2013 President, Kara Deverall \u2013 Vice President, Elizabeth Carter \u2013 Treasurer, Ronnie Marler \u2013 Secretary.\u00a0 The Board members for 2011 include the officers plus Graham Paterson, Fairy Hitchcock, John Frazier, Richard DeShazo, Tamara Donovan, Sara Baker, Chris Allen and John Coldiron.<\/p>\n<p>Graham Paterson reviewed the major 2010 WBNA activities.\u00a0 The website was designed and placed on-line funded thru a Boise City Mini-grant, we created and mailed postcards to advertise the 2011 meeting and an e-mail WBNA newsletter was created.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/legistators.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"legistators\" src=\"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/legistators-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Graham then introduced Idaho State Representative Grant Burgoyne, District 16 who explained how to contact our State legislators through e-mail and\/or telephone.\u00a0 He was joined by Idaho State Rep Max Black, District 15 and Idaho State Senator John Andreason District 15.\u00a0 A lively discussion ensued with many WBNA members asking questions, particularly about the size of the Idaho budget deficit and how to deal with that shortfall.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was adjourned at 8:25pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>West Bench Neighborhood Association Annual Meeting Minutes February 16, 2011 The meeting was called to order at 7:08pm by Graham Paterson at the Library at Cole and Ustick.\u00a0 Graham welcomed the large crowd and spoke about the purpose of the WBNA which is to work with the City of Boise on problems and issues in &hellip;
