Here is an opportunity we, in Boise Police, are seeking your involvement:
1st ever Boise Police Service Week:
During the month of May, 2010, Boise City will proclaim “Police Service Week” the week of May 10th. Boise Police week coincides with two other important law enforcement events: National Police Week in Washington DC, and locally, the Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony (recognizing the service of officers who died in the line of duty). The Boise Police Department is planning events to recognize and celebrate Police Week and we are seeking your participation.
If you know of an officer who has helped you and your neighborhood with any type of problem, from an individual response or case to a long term project, we’d like you to take a few minutes and write a brief article about the situation and what the officer did. We know there are officers out there helping solve neighborhood problems every day and we’re looking for a way to recognize and encourage neighborhood problem solving. With your help, we will honor these officers on behalf of your neighborhood at an event at Boise City Hall the week of May 10 – 14. We’ll let you know when a time and date are set for the City Hall event if you would like to attend.
If you decide to write an article, please send it to me by April 20.
Thanks, in advance for helping recognize and honor those officers who work quietly but diligently to keep our Boise neighborhood’s safe, clean, and a wonderful place to live.
Thank you,
Charlene Miller
