Rather, this is the first of several opportunities. By design, these recommendations are very basic. Our hope is to generate feedback on the general approach that will guide us in developing specific allowances and standards. We will then seek your input as specific standards are developed, and again on final ordinance language. This will all occur before any public hearing. Finally, you will be notified of the public hearings before both the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. Your comments will be welcome at that time as well.<\/p>\n
In short, we will be seeking your input throughout the process. Due to the confusion, and to make sure everyone has adequate time to weigh-in, we are going to extend the comment period on the preliminary recommendations to August 12, 2011.<\/p>\n
I look forward to hearing from you, and I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
