Six Greenbelt sections closed<\/strong> by high water<\/p>\n
A\u00a0section of the Greenbelt<\/a> under Veterans Memorial Parkway has been closed because of damage caused by high flows on the Boise River. Flood waters are undercutting the river bank and causing the Greenbelt pavement to buckle and collapse.<\/p>\n
Warning signs have been installed to prevent pedestrians from accessing the area, which is on the north side of the river.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Five sections of the Greenbelt have been closed because of high flows on the Boise River.<\/p>\n
Areas that have been closed include:<\/p>\n
<\/strong>\u2022 The\u00a0tunnel on the south side<\/a> East Parkcenter Bridge near Bown Crossing
\n\u2022\u00a0Loggers Creek<\/a> footbridge from Leadville Avenue east to the West ParkCenter Bridge in Southeast Boise.
\n\u2022 The\u00a0Bethine Church River Trail<\/a>, a gravel section from the Cottonwoods Apartments on Riverstone Lane east to the powerline corridor near East Gossamer Lane in Southeast Boise.
\n\u2022 The\u00a0Broadway Avenue underpass<\/a> on the north side of the river near Boise State University.
\n\u2022 The\u00a0Main Street tunnel<\/a> on the north side of the river near Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park
