{"id":3536,"date":"2019-05-16T12:19:33","date_gmt":"2019-05-16T19:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/?page_id=3536"},"modified":"2019-05-16T12:30:34","modified_gmt":"2019-05-16T19:30:34","slug":"may-9th-meeting-minutes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wbnaboise.org\/?page_id=3536","title":{"rendered":"WBNA Meeting May 9th 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Regular Meeting of WBNA May 9, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting was called to order by President Ronnie Marler at the Cole\/Ustick library.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Johnathan reported a $1,700.00 balance in our Zoom Grant from Boise City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energize Boise has approved two projects<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Settler\u2019s Canal (Goddard beautification) and the Spaulding Ranch orchard.&nbsp;For the Settler\u2019s Canal we will partner with the irrigation company, Neighborhood Woods, Capital High school horticulture and experts on natural indigenous plants of Idaho to improve the area.&nbsp;&nbsp;A barrier along the ditch will be needed but the ditch needs to be accessible for the irrigation company to maintain.&nbsp;&nbsp;Several ideas to improve the area is to post a history of Settler\u2019s Canal, upgrade the bus stops and possible cover them as well as benches for the public.&nbsp;&nbsp;Discussion followed on the Spaulding ranch orchard, traffic, foot paths and time lines.&nbsp;&nbsp;We should know more about the funds for these project in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Discussion followed on art work for the neighborhood as well as benches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The picnic tables for the new shelter at Fairmont park are at the contractors, but the shelter it self has not arrived.&nbsp;&nbsp;The pad is ready when the parts get delivered.&nbsp;&nbsp;A celebration including a sidewalk caulk art contest, face painting, coloring project, photo booth and \u201cfun stuff\u201d for the kids will be available when the structure is assembled and ready for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Block Party Trailer was discussed, but needs to be reserved for events from the city.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Walk Settlers project planned for Saturday May 18th at Noon<\/strong><br>The plan is to meet up at the LDS Church parking lot and walk to Pesto&#8217;s Pizza where we will discuss the project and have a slice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A potluck is being planned for Friday July 26<\/strong>&nbsp;at the new Fairmont Park pavilion.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mary Margaret will be in charge with Johnathan, Jannette and Chris serving on the committee.&nbsp;&nbsp;The area needs to be reserved from the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Branding was discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The garage sale will be August 31<\/strong>&nbsp;with Johnathan and Garret making arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussion on Art Zone Christmas Bazaar.&nbsp;&nbsp;Everyone who worked last year felt it was a worthwhile project and with a few improvements &#8211; will be again.&nbsp;&nbsp;Annie suggested including the Windsted Park Neighborhood association since they are right across the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New ideas &#8211; Christmas lights in Fairmont park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>storage shed for \u201cstuff\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next meeting July 11,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Regular Meeting of WBNA May 9, 2019 The meeting was called to order by President Ronnie Marler at the Cole\/Ustick library.&nbsp;&nbsp; Johnathan reported a $1,700.00 balance in our Zoom Grant from Boise City.
